Abstract

This research aims to improve healthcare service quality by prioritizing patient safety at Bakti Timah Medika Pangkalpinang Hospital, with the goal of becoming a leading hospital in the Bangka Belitung Province. Quality indicators involve critical aspects such as emergency response time, diagnostic accuracy before and after surgery, timely meal provision, and various other measurements. However, challenges arise in the manual data collection and calculation processes, which can be inefficient and prone to data loss. To address these issues, a Quality Indicator System using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method was proposed. This web-based system, using the CodeIgniter framework, is designed for specific hospital departments, including IT, Infection Prevention and Control (PPI), Quality, Head Nurses, and Nurses. The system aims to streamline data input, facilitate systematic calculations, and present analysis through dashboards, graphs, tables, and downloadable Excel files. The research objectives include implementing RAD and developing an easy-to-use quality indicator system. System testing, including Black Box Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Usability Testing, confirmed the system's functional effectiveness and user acceptance. The Black Box and User Acceptance tests performed on 53 test scenarios showed a 100% success rate, indicating all scenarios were successfully tested. Usability testing, involving 30 respondents and using a Likert scale, indicated high user satisfaction with ease of use and effectiveness, achieving an overall usability score of 79,02 %, categorized as "satisfactory."
