Abstract

The savings and loans management process at BUMDes Desa Pinang Sebatang Barat is currently still conducted manually using separate spreadsheets, leading to risks of data duplication, recording errors, difficulties in transaction tracking, and the absence of a payment due date reminder system. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Savings and Loans Information System as a solution to these problems. The method used in system development is Prototyping, which is carried out iteratively based on user needs and feedback. The system was built using the Next.js framework and a MySQL database, providing features for loan applications, savings management, transaction recording, installment monitoring, survey scheduling, due date notifications, and BUMDes information presentation. The results showed that the system was successfully developed through three prototype iteration stages and generated features that support the needs of the community, customers, and the Unit Head. Functional testing using Black Box Testing indicated that all tested scenarios ran successfully as expected. Furthermore, usability testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) involving 17 respondents achieved an average score of 76.03%, falling into the Good, Acceptable, and Grade B categories. It can be concluded that the system has a good level of usability, is well-accepted by users, and is expected to support the digitalization of services, improve efficiency, and minimize recording errors at BUMDes
