Abstract
Fuel tank measurement devices at PLN UIDRKR are generally still using conventional dipstick meters, which are not effective in terms of time, measurement accuracy, and safety in the fuel measurement process in the main tank. The aim of this research is to facilitate management in monitoring fuel usage in power plants. The prototype device consists of several components that work together to ensure accurate and real-time fuel tank monitoring. These components include Ultrasonic sensors, NodeMCU microcontrollers, relay modules, and the cloud-based Blynk platform for data storage and analysis. The Ultrasonic sensor measures the fuel level in the tank and converts it into digital data to be processed in the NodeMCU microcontroller, which acts as the central system, collecting data from the sensor and processing it before sending it to Blynk using wireless networks as connectivity between the device and the Blynk platform. The relay module receives data from the NodeMCU connected to Blynk to operate the fuel pump. The Blynk platform stores and displays data that can be used to improve Specific Fuel Consumption and efficiency. The accuracy level of this research has a margin error of 2,29%. This research presents a prototype device that utilizes IoT technology to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of fuel tank monitoring in power plants.
