The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of accounting students at Caltex Riau Polytechnic about information technology that must be mastered by accountants. This type of research is an empirical study on tax accounting study program students. The data collection method used is an analytical technique questionnaire used to answer the problem formulation, including: 1.) using the Normality Test and Hypothesis Test which is equipped with steps for making decisions, analysis tools using the Independent Sample t test, 2. ) By using the Data Normality Test and Hypothesis Test which is equipped with steps to make decisions Based on the results of the study, it shows that 1.) the p-value is 0.982 with an alpha of 0.05, meaning that the probability value is greater than alpha, so that Ho is accepted, it can be concluded that there is no difference in the perception of accounting students towards information technology knowledge that must be mastered by accountants
